Engineers Without Borders – Ethiopia (EWBE) is a startup chapter of the global Engineers Without Borders (EWB) movement, dedicated to leveraging engineering to create sustainable, community-driven solutions for underserved communities across Ethiopia. Founded by a multidisciplinary team of professionals with decades of experience in humanitarian engineering, EWBE is committed to ethical, inclusive, and impactful development.
To be a catalyst for sustainable development in Ethiopia by empowering communities through engineering solutions that are locally driven, environmentally sustainable, and socially inclusive.
To harness and mobilize engineering expertise to tackle Ethiopia’s pressing development challenges—focusing on clean water, sanitation, renewable energy, and resilient infrastructure—while empowering local communities through capacity building and fostering sustainable innovation.
